Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how FLAVE (“we”, “us”, or “the App”) handles information when you use the FLAVE mobile application on Android or iOS. Questions: email semeikhan.t@gmail.com.
2. Information processed on your device today
The current version of FLAVE processes the following information on your device. Unless you choose to share a file through the system share sheet, this information is not sent to FLAVE servers (FLAVE does not currently run an app backend for uploads).
- Photos and media files. Images you import from the photo library or file picker, and photos you capture with the camera, including RAW and JPEG formats you choose to open.
- Camera and microphone permissions. Camera access is used for capture. Microphone / record-audio permission may be declared by the camera stack on some devices even when audio recording is not a product feature; FLAVE does not use microphone audio for editing features today.
- Motion sensor readings. Accelerometer data may be read temporarily to show a level indicator while using the camera.
- Library metadata. Local records such as file paths or URIs, filenames, formats, and timestamps for imported or captured items.
- Editing parameters and LUT files. Non-destructive edit settings, film-simulation / LUT identifiers, intensity, and related sidecar or cache files stored in app-private storage.
- App preferences. Language choice and onboarding completion flags stored locally (for example via on-device key-value storage).
- Device language. Used to pick an initial interface language.
EXIF or other embedded photo metadata may remain in files you import, capture, export, or share, depending on the file and the destination you choose.
3. How we use this information
- To provide RAW import, editing, LUT / film looks, export, and camera features.
- To remember your library list and preferences on the device.
- To show camera overlays such as level, grid, or peaking when enabled.
We do not use your photos for advertising, profiling, or sale of personal data.
4. Sharing
FLAVE does not upload your photos to FLAVE-operated servers in the current version. If you use the system share or export flow, the file is delivered only to the app or service you select; that destination’s own privacy terms apply.
The operating system, device manufacturer, or app stores may process diagnostic or install information under their own policies when you install or run the App. This developer website is hosted by Vercel.
5. Storage and retention
Photos, caches, sidecars, and preferences remain on your device until you delete them in the App (when such controls are available), clear app storage, or uninstall FLAVE. Device backup systems (for example Android backup) may copy app data according to your device settings. FLAVE does not currently offer a cloud account or remote “delete my account” flow because there is no remote user account.
6. Security
We rely on your device’s app sandbox and OS protections for local files and settings. No method of storage is perfectly secure; protect your device with a lock screen and keep the OS updated.
7. Children’s privacy
FLAVE is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
8. Your choices and rights
- Grant or revoke camera and photo permissions in system settings.
- Delete imported or exported files from your device storage.
- Clear app data or uninstall FLAVE to remove local app-stored data.
- Contact semeikhan.t@gmail.com for privacy requests. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law; we will respond as required.
9. Future features (not active until shipped)
The product roadmap may later introduce optional features. Until they ship, the App does not collect or transmit data for these purposes. Before enabling any of them with a named third party, we will update this policy and the Google Play Data safety disclosures.
- Opt-in analytics or crash reporting. Only with clear consent; used to improve stability and product quality. No ads network in the base product positioning.
- Optional cloud sync or cloud storage. Only if you opt in; may store library metadata and/or synced files with a cloud provider named in an updated policy.
- On-device or cloud AI features. Masking, noise reduction, or generative tools may process images on device and/or, if cloud AI is offered, transmit image content to a named processor with notice and consent where required.
- In-app purchases and subscriptions. Handled by Google Play (or Apple App Store). Purchase receipts and entitlement status may be processed by the store and any billing SDK we name here when that feature ships. Payment card details are handled by the store, not by FLAVE.
10. International users
Local processing happens on your device wherever you use the App. If future cloud features store or process data in other countries, the updated policy will describe locations and safeguards.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. The current version is always available at https://appfield.vercel.app/privacy/flave. The “Effective date” above will change when we publish a revision. Material changes that introduce new data collection will be reflected here before those features are enabled.
