Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes what data is processed when you use the SwipeKeeper mobile application (the "App"), why we process it, and what rights you have. By installing and using the App, you agree to this Policy.
1. Who we are
The App is operated by the SwipeKeeper developer ("we", "us"). For privacy-related questions, you can contact us at:
- Email: support@swipekeeper.app
- Website: https://appfield.vercel.app
2. What data we process
2.1. Photos and videos on your device
The App requests access to media files on your device (photos and videos) to function. These files are read and, with your confirmation, deleted only locally on your device. We do not copy, upload, or share the contents of your gallery with our servers or third parties.
2.2. Data stored on your device
The following may be stored on your device:
- onboarding completion status;
- monthly review progress (identifiers of files you have already reviewed);
- a list of favorite media files;
- a swipe counter used to display ads;
- a cached Premium subscription status.
This data is stored in local device storage (AsyncStorage, Secure Store) and is removed when you uninstall the App, unless your operating system settings provide otherwise.
2.3. Device identifier
On first launch, the App generates a random anonymous device identifier (UUID). It is used as the app user ID for Premium entitlement checks via RevenueCat. The identifier does not contain personal data (such as your name, phone number, or email).
2.4. Premium subscription data
When you purchase a Premium subscription, purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. Subscription status and entitlements are managed through RevenueCat. We may use:
- the anonymous device identifier (as the RevenueCat app user ID);
- subscription / entitlement status and expiration dates provided by RevenueCat;
- a locally cached Premium status on your device.
Payment details are handled by Google Play and are not stored in the App or on our servers. See Google Privacy Policy and RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
2.5. Advertising
The free version of the App shows interstitial ads through Google AdMob. Google and its partners may collect and use data for advertising purposes, including:
- the Android Advertising ID;
- technical device data and ad interaction data.
Learn more in the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses data in advertising. You can limit ad personalization in Android settings: Settings → Google → Ads.
3. How we use data
- displaying and organizing media files for gallery cleanup;
- saving your progress and favorites;
- showing ads in the free version;
- processing, verifying, and managing Premium subscriptions;
- maintaining the security and reliability of the service.
4. Legal bases for processing
We process data based on:
- your consent (media access, advertising);
- performance of a contract (providing App features and Premium subscriptions);
- legitimate interests (preventing abuse and providing technical support).
5. Sharing data with third parties
We may share a limited amount of data with the following service providers:
- Google Play / Google — billing for Premium subscriptions;
- RevenueCat — subscription and entitlement management;
- Google AdMob — displaying ads in the free version;
- Vercel — hosting this developer website and Privacy Policy pages.
These providers process data only to the extent necessary to provide their services and in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal data.
6. International data transfers
Service providers (Google, RevenueCat, Vercel) may process data on servers located outside your country. Appropriate safeguards are applied as described in their policies and applicable law.
7. Data retention
- local data — until you uninstall the App or clear its data in device settings;
- subscription data — while the subscription is active and for a reasonable period after cancellation for billing and support purposes;
- advertising data — in accordance with Google AdMob policies.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including secure connections (HTTPS) to third-party SDKs and storing sensitive local data in Secure Store on your device. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Children
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
10. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:
- request information about the data we process;
- request correction or deletion of data;
- withdraw consent (for example, by revoking media access or opting out of personalized ads);
- lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
You can delete local data by uninstalling the App or clearing its data in Android settings. For subscription-related requests, email support@swipekeeper.app.
11. Android permissions
The App may request the following permissions:
- READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_MEDIA_VIDEO — read photos and videos for review and cleanup;
- READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED — access files you explicitly select (Android 14+);
- media deletion — only after your explicit confirmation in the App.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is always available at https://appfield.vercel.app/privacy/swipekeeper. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes are published means you accept the updated Policy.
